About the Role

The HR / Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for employee/labor relations, employee development, performance management, safety reporting, workers compensation, training, benefits, staffing and recruitment, disability and payroll.

Key Activities

  • Processing and inputting company payroll

  • Onboarding new employees and ensuring proper compliance to all HR laws

  • Interviewing and helping hire new employees

  • Maintain personnel records and training records and insure records are accurate, current and in compliance with corporate and legal requirements.

  • Assist employees with problems, complaints and grievance resolutions.

  • Assist with corporate benefit programs, including communication, problem resolution, reporting, and compliance.

  • Enter worker’s compensation administration and case management.

  • Process payroll according to the payroll schedule including; working with managers to get timesheets approved in a timely manner, processing PTO requests, and running reports to check accuracy.

  • Update employee payroll related information in the payroll software including but not limited to benefit deductions, garnishments, direct deposit changes, and pay changes.

  • Responsible for answering employee questions related to payroll.

  • Work effectively with the payroll company in getting payroll issues resolved in a professional manner.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge and understand in ensuring compliance and administration of labor laws and employment laws, OSHA standards and workers compensation.

  • Experience working with WFN ADP is preferred

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or strong experience.

  • 2 years’ experience in a Human Resources position with experience in Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, and labor and employment law.

  • MUST have experience in light human resources, benefits enrollment, and payroll processing
