About the Role
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery, equipment, and facility systems are properly maintained and operational. This includes performing routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and conducting repairs to minimize downtime.
Key Activities
Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure optimal functioning and minimize unexpected breakdowns.
Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing issues. Diagnose problems, replace parts, and ensure systems are brought back online efficiently.
480V Systems & Equipment: Service and maintain high-voltage (480V) electrical systems, compressors, and dryers.
Welding & Fabrication: Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for equipment repairs and facility improvements.
PLC Troubleshooting: Collaborate with PLC Technicians to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
Facility Maintenance: Conduct facility repairs, including patching concrete and asphalt, basic construction, and general upkeep of building systems.
Inspections: Regularly inspect facility infrastructure, machinery, and systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) to identify potential problems and recommend solutions.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards, policies, and procedures. Ensure equipment and work areas are maintained to meet health and safety guidelines.
Emergency Response: Respond to emergency maintenance requests and repair urgent breakdowns promptly to avoid operational disruptions.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks. Ensure all completed tasks are properly logged and documented.
Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance technicians, contractors, and departments to address facility and operational needs.
Tools and Equipment: Ensure that all tools and equipment used for maintenance and repairs are in good working condition and stored properly.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improvement in facility and equipment maintenance and make recommendations to management for upgrades or new processes.
Preferred Skills
Proficient in welding and fabricating.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems with the ability to troubleshoot and repair lines.
Education and Experience
Minimum of 4 years of experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in a manufacturing, industrial, or commercial environment.
Experience with high-voltage (480V) electrical systems, compressors, and dryers.
Experience with facility maintenance, including construction, concrete, and asphalt patching.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or related fields are a plus.
