


About the Role
The Business Development Manager will spearhead new business initiatives for our in-house brokerage services while also supporting the growth of our retail LTL consolidation sector.
Key Activities
Primary Focus – New Business Development (Brokerage):
Identify, target, and secure new clients for the in-house brokerage services.
Develop strategic sales pipelines by leveraging market intelligence and professional networks.
Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand client needs and craft tailored brokerage solutions.
Secondary Focus – Retail LTL Consolidation Growth: Work with the internal team to identify opportunities to expand the retail LTL consolidation sector.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with retail clients, showcasing the value of our consolidation services.
Proactively address client concerns and provide solutions to meet unique logistics challenges.
Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement action plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Leverage data and market trends to inform prospecting efforts and service positioning.
Balance short-term wins with mid- and long-term strategic opportunities.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers to ensure high satisfaction and repeat business.
Act as a key point of contact for clients, delivering insights and recommendations to optimize logistics solutions.
Performance & Reporting: Track and report on sales metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue growth.
Prepare regular sales forecasts and updates for leadership.
Consistently meet or exceed performance targets and KPIs.
Collaboration: Partner with operations, marketing, and other departments to align client solutions with operational capabilities.
Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns and sales tools to support growth initiatives.
Preferred Skills

Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Education and Experience
5+ years as a Business Development Manager in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain sales, preferably with experience in brokerage and retail LTL services.
Strong understanding of brokerage and LTL consolidation markets, including trends and competitive dynamics.
