About the Role
The Strategic Accounts Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and managing sales strategies and plans to achieve business unit objectives within the established national account base.
Key Activities
Develop and execute a sales plan, based on knowledge of the customer, of each national account, based on established sales and growth objectives and initiatives. Focus on growth strategies to expand our reach into each national account.Â
Used sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sales of each national account were documented and executed per the sales plan.
Working in conjunction with our marketing team, conduct account research to identify additional shrink opportunities.
Coordinate and participate in quarterly national account calls with each of our Territory Sales Managers responsible for a regional national account location.Â
Formulate, direct, and coordinate package improvement activities that promote us within each national account.
Manages the daily sales activities of each account including pricing, product development, product trialing, and sales promotion needs.
Clearly communicates account sales strategies to all appropriate sales, customer service, technical, and operations personnel.
Coordinates with the Director of Strategic Development to develop new products and/or programs that are critical to the national account.
Work with Marketing to establish a strong national account database for information collection and data summary y activity
Works with sales personnel on an ongoing basis to support the national selling effort
Works with appropriate OEMs to gain product approvals wherever possible.
Works with Supply Chain and operations to manage inventory levels to achieve optimal results and service.
Works cooperatively with all functional groups within our company
Work cooperatively with our distribution network to execute our company's national account strategies.

Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and facilitation skills and the ability to coach and influence others.
Education and Experience
A four-year degree or equivalent work experience is required.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales marketing or business with practical knowledge of the above responsibilities.
The candidate must be from the packaging industry and have shrink film experience.
