About the Role
The Sales Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all sales activities personally accountable.
Key Activities
Campaign for local and regional sales and promotions.
Identifying areas for potential clients and developing solutions to regain lost customers.
Prepare sales budgets and projections and approve expenditures.
Developing, executing, and overseeing strategies and plans to achieve the set business targets within certain territories.
Manage territory and quotas to sales and develop, execute, and oversee strategies and plans to enlarge the customer base, improve customer service, and increase customer lifecycles.
Tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
Discovering customers’ needs and handling and resolving customer complaints regarding products and services.
Setting discount rates and determining price schedules.
Advising on policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Staying current on the latest industry trends and techniques.
Determining new ways to make products more appealing and more competitive by observing the environment and current trends.
Collaborating with sales and design/technical staff to be more innovative in product development.
Researching, preparing, and applying necessary documentation and approval processes set by the legal authorities to provide the best solutions that would maximize efficiency and minimize risks.
Updating the Team with business/sales analysis reports and proactively identifying issues to determine solutions
Preferred Skills
Executing plans to gain, regain, and retain customers (e.g. analyzing potential new clients, maintaining relationships with active customers, conducting cold calls, calling/messaging lost customers to win them back, etc.).
Education and Experience
The candidate must have experience selling products to the transportation industry (truck/rail/container/ocean).
Selling air-filled poly bags for protective shipping purposes as a primary line of product.
