About the Role
The Lab Technician will be responsible for manufacturing, inspecting, and maintaining high-quality optical products.
Key Activities
Lens Manufacturing: Operate and maintain lab equipment to grind, cut, and polish optical lenses to precise specifications.
Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet required specifications and industry standards.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration on lab equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Material Handling: Manage inventory of raw materials, tools, and finished products, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment or production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Certification in optical technology or a related field.
Experience with lens finishing, surfacing, or coating processes.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a lab or manufacturing environment (preferably in optical or similar fields).
