About the Role

The Process Technician will maintain efficient production processes, ensure product quality, and adhere to food safety standards.

Key Activities

  • Operate, monitor, and adjust production machinery to ensure optimal performance and product quality.

  • Create, audit, and modify production SOP’s.

  • Review and update product SOP’s within our ERP software.

  • Create and modify product labels.

  • Capture data from production trials and first production runs.

  • Capture data and analysis of yields, headcount, throughput and rates.

  • Conduct routine inspections to verify compliance with product specifications.

  • Record and report quality metrics, including temperature, pressure, and ingredient ratios.

  • Assist in the resolution of quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.

  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and communicate complex repair needs to the maintenance team.

  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.

  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and company food safety regulations.

  • Participate in regular training and certifications related to food manufacturing safety.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP, GMP, or SQF is a plus.

  • Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and production management software.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor, Associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in food or beverage industries.
