About the Role
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the maintenance of all machines. Serve as a good role model to coworkers for safe working practices and behavior by keeping in mind your own safety and the safety of others.
Key Activities
Receives machine priorities from the Maintenance Manager.
Install and wire industrial equipment as directed by Maintenance Manager
Routinely performs machinery checks ensuring all safety devices are installed and functioning properly.
Conduct periodic checks of all electrical equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment.
Identifying and reporting potential equipment or building issues.
Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe working conditions.
Work independently from verbal and/or written instructions from the Maintenance Manager.
Communicate with off-going/on-coming technicians.
The ability to monitor the process and show an awareness of issues and demonstrate corrective actions to address those issues.
Assists with training of junior technical staff.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of plastic processing and trouble shooting.
Electrical experience.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must have at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience or technical hands-on experience.
MUST have experience with hydraulics and electrical
