About the Role
The Demand and Production Planner ensures optimal inventory levels, efficient production schedules, and seamless supply chain operations while meeting customer demand and minimizing waste.
Key Activities
Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on historical data, sales trends, market insights, and promotional activities.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align forecasts with business objectives and promotions, ensuring they reflect customer projects, promotions, and inventory strategies.
Work closely with Sales to understand customer planning cycles and integrate their forecasts into the company’s demand planning process.
Continuously refine forecast methodologies and integrate customer-specific insights to improve precision.
Monitor forecast performance metrics (e.g., MAPE, bias) and implement corrective actions to address gaps.
Develop production plans and schedules that balance customer demand, production capacity, and inventory levels.
Coordinate with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Logistics teams to ensure on-time production and delivery.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of regulatory requirements in food manufacturing.
APICS, CPIM, or related supply chain certification is a plus.
Spanish language proficiency a plus
Education and Experience
5-10 years of experience in Demand Planning, Production Planning, or Supply Chain roles in the food or consumer goods industry.
Bachelor’s degree in related field; Master’s preferred.
