About the Role
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing quality control tests for samples from manufactured products safely and efficiently following all protocols established by QC Management.
Key Activities
Maintain a safe and efficient work area at all times.
Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments
Perform simple laboratory analyses, including using a pH meter, oven, muffle, HPLC, and other laboratory equipment, following written analytical procedures and work instructions.
Clean laboratory glassware and non-disposable items according to laboratory policies and procedures.
Perform sample preparation.
Monitor, observe and promptly communicate any unusual or unexpected results
Responsible for quality and food safety.
Responsible for reporting animal food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
Preferred Skills
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work assignments and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Education and Experience
Must have basic chemical principles and has had some laboratory experience.
Must have prior experience and understanding of working safely with chemicals in a lab environment.
Must have the ability to document and record results clearly and accurately
