About the Role

The Production Supervisor will ensure production is on track with the schedule and alert necessary team members of any potential delays.

Key Activities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of all manufacturing activities including throughput, cost and waste control, maintenance, quality, inventory control and meeting budgeted production metrics.

  • Ensure production is on track with the schedule and alert necessary team members of any potential delays.

  • Ensure that employees work safely and follow all plant rules and policies.

  • Maintain quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management.

  • Manage efficiency and waste to ensure production is cost effective.

  • Utilize and maintain systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets.

  • Identify improvement opportunities and assist with problems.

  • Lead, coach, motivate and engage teams to accomplish operational objectives.

  • Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained at all times. Cross train team members to continuously have machine coverage to operate as business needs dictate.

  • Enforce plant policies and procedures.

  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • Ensure inventory counts are completed and remain up to date.

  • Oversee quality checks throughout production process.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 15 lbs.

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Education and Experience

  • Corrugated Sheet Plant Experience (Must).

  • Strong understanding of corrugated manufacturing equipment (Must).

  • Strong leadership skills (Must).

  • Computer Skills (Must).

  • Hold employees accountable for meeting quality and operating standards; provide coaching to employees when necessary.
