About the Role

The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Shipping & Receiving function for the facility. Partners closely with the Production, Customer Service and Sales Departments to coordinate shipping and receiving raw materials and finished goods in the most timely, cost-efficient manner.

Key Activities

  • Organized and prepare all outgoing shipments, including banding and wrapping pallets.

  • Ensure all finished product is labeled correctly and processed accordingly within Amtech.

  • Loading, unloading, storing, and moving materials through the warehouse and production area.

  • Performs data entry and maintenance of documentation supporting all shipping transactions.

  • Receive incoming shipments; unload, visually inspect, and stock. Complete Amtech receiving transaction.

  • Professional and timely communication with customer service and sales team members on order overages and necessary shipping information. 

  • Prepare and maintain shipping supplies and keep the department organized.

  • Assist in other areas and with miscellaneous warehouse tasks as needed. 

  • Inventory

  • Complete weekly and monthly inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory visibility within Amtech. 

  • Update the inventory in Amtech and investigate discrepancies. 

  • Ensure inventory remains organized and all inventory has the appropriate load tag attached.

  • Monitor and communicate to purchasing when inventory of suppliers or raw materials is below minimum on-hand quantity requirements. 

  • Perform inventory and receipt adjustments for accuracy.

  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

  • Proactively develop process improvements both internally and within Amtech.

  • Monitor inventory needs to ensure raw materials and finished goods are available to meet production and shipping needs.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend procedures.

  • Ability to multitask and work in a face paced environment with minimal errors.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • At least 2 years prior material handling experience.
