About the Role
The Lead Maintenance Tech will be required to have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with a focus on ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The position follows a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, providing a balanced work-life rhythm.
Key Activities
Preventive Maintenance: Developed and executed daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment, including bearings, conveyors, motors, pumps, and more.
Automation Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot PLC control systems, ensuring seamless operation of automated production lines.
Pneumatic Systems: Manage and repair pneumatic controls and components integral to manufacturing processes.
Compliance & Safety: Adhere to GMP, HACCP, and GFSI standards, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
LOTO Procedures: Implement and enforce Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures to ensure the safety of maintenance operations.
5S Methodology: Apply 5S principles to maintain a structured, organized, hygienic, and safe working environment.
Preferred Skills
Mechanical Systems: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with mechanical components and mechanisms.
Electrical Systems: Proficiency in electrical components, including motors and control systems.
Education and Experience
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in industrial maintenance within a food manufacturing environment.
Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications or associate degree preferred.
