


About the Role
The Site Equipment Engineer will provide technical support (including hands-on) that will result in; maximization and control of vital production and support equipment, the attainment of production goals and product safety, and the identification of cost reduction opportunities and the implementation of appropriate solutions.
Key Activities
Coordinate activities on the execution phase of the project defined in the scope of work, including scheduling, construction/installation, commissioning, startup, and documentation activities.
Lead and champion continuous improvement for the site.
Liaison between local organizations and corporate Manufacturing.
Provide technical support and guidance to minimize equipment downtime and maximize plant productivity.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
Install, operate, or maintain mechanical equipment, systems or processes to meet requirements.
Collaborate with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
Monitor all aspects of production.
Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions.
Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design, performance specifications, or environmental regulations.
Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, or repair to ensure that machines or equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
Estimate costs or submit bids for engineering or construction projects.
Recommend the use of utility or energy services that minimize carbon footprints.
Evaluate mechanical designs for energy performance or environmental impact.
Direct the installation, operation, maintenance, or repair of energy equipment, such as cooling, compressed air, and air conditioning (HVAC) or water systems.
Perform personnel functions, such as supervision of technicians, technologists, or other engineers.
Preferred Skills
Have ability to influence all levels of the organization.
Have strong project management skills.
Education and Experience
Possess a BSC or equivalent.
Have 5-years experience in mechanics, and pneumatics.
Have 4-year degree or equivalent.
