About the Role

The Process Technician is responsible for monitoring, operating, and optimising manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, consistent quality, and minimal downtime. This role supports troubleshooting, process improvements, and adherence to safety and operational standards.

Key Activities

  • Operate and monitor production equipment and processes to meet output and quality targets.

  • Set up machines and adjust process parameters (temperature, pressure, speed, etc.).

  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimise downtime.

  • Perform routine inspections, testing, and quality checks.

  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to improve process efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

  • Assist in process validation, trials, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.

  • Support preventive maintenance activities as needed.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in industries such as plastics, packaging, pharmaceuticals, or food processing.

  • Familiarity with PLC systems and automation.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools.

Education and Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

  • 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Knowledge of production processes, machinery, and troubleshooting techniques.
