


About the Role
The President will have vast experience in financial systems, reporting, cash flow management, and working capital management.
Key Activities
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement), including managing month-end and year-end close processes.
Analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Generation of financial reports for management and stakeholders.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for each business.
Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts and investigate and explain variances.
Cash Flow Management: Tracking cash flows and ensuring adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations and debt obligations.
Management of treasury functions and working capital to ensure the business maintains sufficient liquidity for operations and growth, including cash flow forecasts and optimizing cash management processes.
Cost Management and Control: Monitoring manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.
Monitoring, investigating, and explaining manufacturing variances.
Implementing cost control measures to improve profitability and efficiency.
Inventory Management: Overseeing and monitoring inventory levels, trends, and valuation.
Implementing inventory control procedures to minimize obsolescence and shrinkage.
Financial Planning and Strategy: Assisting with strategic financial planning initiatives, such as new product launches.
Owning key financial metrics and ensuring alignment with business goals.
Providing financial analysis to support decision-making.
Relationship Management: Liaising with lenders, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, such as operations and sales teams.
Serving as a proactive member of the team with an abiding willingness to take on multiple responsibilities as the business continues to scale.
Systems and Process Improvement: Implementation and improvement of financial systems and processes to support business growth and efficiency.
Implementing best practices for financial and operational accounting management.
Preferred Skills
Consumer-packaged Goods (CPG) experience, specifically food and beverage, preferred but not required
Experience in the food distribution industry is a plus but not required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management
Deep experience with financial systems, reporting, treasury management, and cash flow management.
Ability to manage and analyze working capital, including inventory, receivables, and payables.
Experience with full P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow visibility.
