About the Role

The HR Associate will assist with day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and record keeping.

Key Activities

  • Manage employee data in the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.  Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date employee files.

  • Support timekeeping and payroll processes as needed, ensuring timely and accurate data entry.

  • Assist in the preparation and administration of employee benefits programs while ensuring compliance with regulations.  Help employees with questions, issues, and enrollment.

  • Support the recruitment process by posting job openings, liaising with recruitment agencies, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and maintaining candidate records, including applications, resumes, and applicant logs.

  • Help organize and document employee training and development programs, including orientation and onboarding and health and safety.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan and coordinate employee engagement initiatives and events.

  • Ensure timely completion and assist managers and supervisors as needed to complete the performance management process, including employee performance reviews, growth plans, and Performance Improvement Plans. 

  • Maintains manager and employee confidence by keeping human resources information confidential.

  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits. 

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.

  • Help develop, update, and implement company policies and procedures.

  • Other tasks and projects as necessary to aid the company.

Preferred Skills

  • Bi-lingual, English/Spanish

  • Familiarity with ERP systems

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resource role.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and essential HR functions.
