

About the Role
The Pelletizer Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring pelletizing equipment used to convert processed plastic into uniform pellets for downstream manufacturing or resale.
Key Activities
Operate pelletizing equipment (e.g., strand, underwater, die-face, or water-ring pelletizers) to process molten or shredded plastic into uniform pellets.
Monitor production parameters such as temperature, feed rate, and pellet quality, making adjustments as needed.
Feed raw plastic material into the extruder or pelletizer using hoppers, conveyors, or other material handling equipment.
Inspect and test finished pellets for proper size, consistency, and moisture content.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on pelletizing and related equipment.
Record production data including output rates, material usage, and quality control checks.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the pelletizing area by company and OSHA standards.
Preferred Skills
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial production equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience operating pelletizers or extrusion equipment in a plastic manufacturing or recycling setting is preferred.
Forklift certification is a plus.
