


About the Role
The Sales Director – Pharmaceuticals will lead and manage our pharmaceutical sales operations. This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving sales growth, developing national accounts, managing a high-performing sales team, and contributing to overall business strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical sales, proven leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of market dynamics, regulatory compliance, and customer needs.
Key Activities
Devote his/her best efforts and excellent/professional performance by working to develop those existing accounts and projects.
Utilize his/her pre-existing customer relationships and develop new customer contacts to expand customer base and sales. Expectation exists to be able to bring in new customer relationships/business.
Provide existing and prospective customers with appropriate product information, samples, and coordinate documentation requests in order to support the development and sales of products.
Work with other sales and technical staff to utilize market and customer information to help determine which products/projects should be developed for future growth.
Attend trade shows like CPHI worldwide/China/India, DCAT, etc. as deemed necessary to meet with customers/suppliers to promote sales and development efforts, as well as travel to API manufacturing partners to see manufacturing plants we represent or may represent.
Visit customers routinely to build strong relationships. Maintain CRM data system and provide timely call reports and actions plans / project timelines. Provide monthly, or as required, project/account status reports and sales forecasts, as well as participate in sales/marketing strategy meetings as required.
Assist in maintaining good relationships with API Manufacturers and customers.
Preferred Skills
Experience in specialty pharmaceuticals or therapeutic areas such as oncology, cardiology, or neurology.
Strong network within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.
Strategic thinking with hands-on execution capability.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum 10+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
