


About the Role
The Production Control Manager will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational functions of the Production Control department, ensuring customer demand is met while optimizing internal manufacturing capacity and resources.
Key Activities
Lead the development and execution of long-term sales forecasts and capacity plans.
Oversee monthly and weekly production schedules in alignment with customer demand and internal capacity.
Set departmental goals and performance targets aligned with corporate objectives.
Customer & Logistics Management
Serve as the primary liaison for customer delivery, service part coordination, and escalation resolution.
Ensure customer schedules are accurately interpreted and reflected in internal production plans.
Manage OEM freight programs and relationships with logistics providers. Inventory & Materials Management
Oversee physical inventory planning and execution, including annual and cycle counts.
Ensure inventory accuracy through regular audits and root cause resolution.
Optimize inventory levels to balance working capital and production continuity.
Oversee all customs brokerage activities and ensure adherence to import/export regulations.
Manage the CTPAT compliance program, including documentation and audits.
Lead internal audits and respond to external regulatory reviews.
Administer customer supply chain portals and internal capacity management tools.
Support ERP (e.g., Mapics) optimization for material planning and control.
Lead, coach, and develop the Production Control team, including Assistant Managers, Planners, and Clerks.
Conduct performance evaluations, succession planning, and skills development. • Manage manpower planning, shift coverage, and attendance oversight.
Preferred Skills
Strong understanding of materials planning, scheduling systems, and ERP software (e.g., Mapics, SAP, Oracle).
Strong customer service orientation and experience working with OEM supply chain systems.
Education and Experience
Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in production control, logistics, or supply chain management.
Minimum 5 years in a managerial or senior supervisory role in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
APICS/CPIM, PMP, or similar supply chain certifications are considered an asset.
