This role helps companies ensure food safety, regulatory compliance, product quality, and customer satisfaction by managing food safety systems, conducting risk assessments, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
HACCP Coordinators often work closely with Production, Quality, Sanitation, Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Supply Chain, customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies. Their work may include maintaining HACCP plans, conducting hazard analyses, monitoring Critical Control Points (CCPs), coordinating food safety audits, managing documentation, supporting corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), delivering employee training, and ensuring compliance with GMP, FDA, SQF, BRCGS, and customer requirements.
HACCP Coordinators are expected to understand how food safety systems impact product quality, regulatory compliance, customer confidence, and operational performance.
