About the Role
The Print Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials in accordance with customer specifications, production schedules, and quality standards.
Key Activities
Set up, operate, and adjust printing presses and related equipment.
Review job orders and specifications before starting production.
Load paper, paperboard, film, or other materials into the printing equipment.
Monitor print quality, including colour, registration, clarity, and overall appearance.
Make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency.
Perform routine quality checks throughout the production process.
Troubleshoot minor machine and print-quality issues and escalate major problems to maintenance or supervision.
Perform basic preventive maintenance, cleaning, and equipment inspections.
Complete production reports, quality documentation, and downtime records accurately.
Minimize material waste and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Follow all safety procedures, GMPs, quality standards, and housekeeping requirements.
Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to meet daily production goals.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of inks, coatings, substrates, color matching, and printing processes.
Experience with press setup, changeovers, and preventive maintenance.
Familiarity with quality inspection and production documentation.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of various types of printing systems for digital print required.
1 year of digital print experience required.
