About the Role

The Print Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials in accordance with customer specifications, production schedules, and quality standards.

Key Activities

  • Set up, operate, and adjust printing presses and related equipment.

  • Review job orders and specifications before starting production.

  • Load paper, paperboard, film, or other materials into the printing equipment.

  • Monitor print quality, including colour, registration, clarity, and overall appearance.

  • Make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency.

  • Perform routine quality checks throughout the production process.

  • Troubleshoot minor machine and print-quality issues and escalate major problems to maintenance or supervision.

  • Perform basic preventive maintenance, cleaning, and equipment inspections.

  • Complete production reports, quality documentation, and downtime records accurately.

  • Minimize material waste and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Follow all safety procedures, GMPs, quality standards, and housekeeping requirements.

  • Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to meet daily production goals.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of inks, coatings, substrates, color matching, and printing processes.

  • Experience with press setup, changeovers, and preventive maintenance.

  • Familiarity with quality inspection and production documentation.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Knowledge of various types of printing systems for digital print required.

  • 1 year of digital print experience required.
