


About the Role
The Set Up and Process Lead prepares, as needed, and sets up tools; ensure tooling and machines are ready for production; and bring the process to 95% readiness for production. Instructs, directs, and trains established personnel in the proper performance of their duties.
Key Activities
Safety, quality, and production goals are a priority.
Work in a team environment that support members to achieve safety, quality, and production objectives.
Comply with company policies and safety and food safety requirements and standards.
Communicate clearly with other employees daily to share information to ensure that the team meets production goals.
Observe employees to make sure they are working safe and doing any activity that violates safety standards and company policies.
Monitor employees to verify that are following Food Safety and GMP rules.
Walkthrough the facility to observe and identify employee compliance to safety and food safety policies.
Complete the Food Safety Checklist at the end of every shift.Â
Effectively remove and install mold and trim.
Obtain, understand, and comply with product specifications and requirements.
Feed sheet: start and stop equipment as needed for machine and process testing.
Efficiently set up and adjust machine controls, both in manual and automatic mode
Ensure required documentation is complete and accurate.
Ensure downtime codes are input on time and are accurate.
Visually inspect tooling for anomalies or wear and report to Thermoforming Manager or Technician Manager. Repair or arrange for proper repair.
Perform advanced tool repairs and adjustments using standard hand and machine shop tools as needed. (i.e., sharpen punches/dies, set punch penetration, etc.)
Preferred Skills
Experience with [industry-specific machinery, e.g., injection molding machines, CNC, stamping presses].
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
Proficient in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred.
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing setup or processing role, with at least 1 year in a leadership capacity.
