About the Role

The Process Technician will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and optimizing the plastic molding or extrusion processes to ensure high-quality production while minimizing downtime and waste.

Key Activities

  • Set up, start, adjust, and shut down plastic molding or extrusion machines and auxiliary equipment.

  • Monitor equipment and process parameters to maintain product quality and consistency.

  • Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to minimize production downtime.

  • Perform routine maintenance and ensure equipment is functioning efficiently and safely.

  • Work closely with quality control and engineering teams to ensure compliance with product specifications.

  • Maintain accurate records of process settings, production output, and equipment maintenance.

  • Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and standard operating procedures.

  • Train new operators or junior staff on machine operation and process guidelines.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong knowledge of plastic processing techniques, materials, and equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, process charts, and specifications.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or technical degree (preferred in Mechanical, Industrial, or Polymer Engineering).

  • 2+ years of experience in a plastic manufacturing environment (injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding).
