About the Role

The Plant Manager will be responsible for driving performance, ensuring product quality, maintaining safety and hygiene standards, and managing production staff to achieve operational goals.

Key Activities

  • Oversee end-to-end bakery plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, logistics, and workforce management.

  • Ensure daily production targets and KPIs are met while maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and sanitation.

  • Monitor and improve operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and productivity.

  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices in line with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP).

  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, including production supervisors, bakers, quality assurance, and maintenance personnel.

  • Coordinate with supply chain and inventory teams to manage raw material flow and minimize downtime.

  • Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed and maintain a safe working environment.

  • Work with R&D and marketing teams on new product development and production trials.

  • Maintain equipment and plant infrastructure, coordinating with maintenance teams for timely repairs and preventive maintenance.

Preferred Skills

  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus.

  • Knowledge of automated bakery systems and continuous production lines.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of plant management or senior production experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment.
