About the Role
The Plant Manager will be responsible for driving performance, ensuring product quality, maintaining safety and hygiene standards, and managing production staff to achieve operational goals.
Key Activities
Oversee end-to-end bakery plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, logistics, and workforce management.
Ensure daily production targets and KPIs are met while maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and sanitation.
Monitor and improve operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and productivity.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices in line with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP).
Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, including production supervisors, bakers, quality assurance, and maintenance personnel.
Coordinate with supply chain and inventory teams to manage raw material flow and minimize downtime.
Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed and maintain a safe working environment.
Work with R&D and marketing teams on new product development and production trials.
Maintain equipment and plant infrastructure, coordinating with maintenance teams for timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
Preferred Skills
Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Knowledge of automated bakery systems and continuous production lines.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 5–7 years of plant management or senior production experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment.
