About the Role
The Maintenance Technician will maintain machinery and equipment up to efficient standards and perform preventative maintenance procedures in a sanitary, safe, and timely manner.
Key Activities
Follow all GMP's and safety.
Follow strict sanitation codes as written by the company for personnel, equipment, packaging, rooms,etc.
Able to perform preventative maintenance and follow scheduling.
Observe and report possible equipment maintenance needs to your supervisor.
Take direction and scheduling from lead maintenance and supervisor.
Evaluate process design and present workable solutions for implementing equipment modifications.
Provide detailed list of parts or equipment to lead maintenance or supervisor.
Capable of assuming lead position as required.
Available for emergency call in or back up.
Self starting, able to handle most situations unassisted.
Maintain constructive working relationships.
Report any injury or accident to your supervisor promptly.
Assist in all other duties assigned by supervisor and / or management.
Preferred Skills
Diagnose failures and take necessary corrective actions.
480 electrical, high and low pressure boilers, VFD, sanitary welding, mechanical.
Able to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
Education and Experience
Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in the food / dairy industry.
Boiler experience, fabrication and sanitary welding of stainless steel, knowledge of PLC and controls.
