About the Role
The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and machinery used in the packaging process.
Key Activities
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including motors, conveyors, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and control panels.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Diagnose electrical issues quickly and accurately to reduce production interruptions.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Maintain and update maintenance records using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
Assist in equipment upgrades and new machinery installations.
Monitor and test system functionality and performance.
Preferred Skills
Experience with high-speed packaging lines and robotic equipment.
Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and Lean Manufacturing principles.
Basic mechanical knowledge for assisting in overall maintenance activities.
Education and Experience
The position requires at least three years prior electrician experience, ability to work with machinery mechanics to troubleshoot computer fault issues and handle electrical repairs on the production equipment, ability to handle PLC issues.
Must have working knowledge and ability to work with 480 volts.
