About the Role

The QC Manager will oversee quality control activities across all production processes to ensure that finished goods meet internal specifications and customer requirements. This role manages in-line inspections, in-process testing, packaging checks, and final product release protocols.

Key Activities

  • QC Operations & Inspection Oversight

    1. Lead incoming, work-in-process and final inspections across all production stages.

    2. Develop and manage inspection plans and sampling protocols.

    3. Ensure completeness and accuracy of inspection records.

  • Team Leadership & Training

    1. Supervise QC staff across multiple shifts or facilities.

    2. Provide training in inspection methods, defect criteria, and equipment use.

    3. Monitor and ensure calibration of inspection tools and lab instruments.

  • Product Non-Conformance Management

    1. Investigate quality-related holds and in-process defects.

    2. Lead the Material Review Board (MRB) process and product disposition.

    3. Collaborate with QA and Production on root cause analysis and rework disposition.

  • Packaging & Labeling Verification

    1. Oversee labeling, traceability, and packaging inspections to prevent customer complaints.

    2. Ensure that batch, lot, and expiration information are accurate and traceable.

  • Data Management and Reporting

    1. Maintain inspection logs and QC dashboards.

    2. Report defect trends, scrap rates, and product acceptance rates to management.

    3. Recommend process improvements based on inspection data.

  • Customer Credit Review (QC Input)

    1. Provide technical data to the Accounting for customer credit review and claim validation.

    2. Support complaint investigations with inspection and rework records.

  • Talent Development and Leadership

    1. Build and mentor a strong QC team.

    2. Assess training needs and support professional development for QC personnel.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in manufacturing quality, operations, or maintenance preferred.

  • Must possess excellent skills in working in a team environment. 

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree preferred, not required.

  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
