About the Role
The Utility Operator will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the continuous operation of our ethanol plant. This hands-on role includes process monitoring, sampling, lab testing, equipment checks, and basic maintenance.
Key Activities
Monitor plant operations via computer-based control systems and in-field equipment checks.
Sample and test process streams to ensure quality and process integrity using lab equipment.
Accurately record and log test results into computerized systems.
Assist with basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment and production areas.
Respond to alarms and troubleshoot process or equipment issues as needed.
Communicate clearly and promptly with team members and supervisors.
Follow all safety and operational procedures consistently.
Preferred Skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and stairs, and work in both indoor and outdoor conditions.
Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts (day/night, weekends, holidays as scheduled).
Team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or process plant preferred (not required).
Comfortable using computers and entering data accurately.
