


About the Role
The Energy Center Operator is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining systems that produce renewable energy, including solar, wind, biomass, hydro, and battery storage technologies.
Key Activities
Monitor and control ethanol plant operations using a computer-based Distributed Control System (DCS).
Conduct routine field inspections of plant equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
Collect and analyze process samples; perform quality control tests using lab equipment to ensure production specifications are met.
Accurately input test data and operational readings into digital log systems.
Identify and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions in the plant; take corrective actions as needed.
Perform routine maintenance and assist in basic mechanical troubleshooting of plant equipment.
Clean and maintain production and work areas to ensure a safe, organized environment.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding plant status, issues, and shift turnovers.
Participate in cross-training to support various areas of the plant operations as needed.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in process operations, industrial maintenance, or a related field is a plus.
Prior experience in an industrial, utility, ethanol, or energy production environment preferred.
Basic understanding of industrial control systems (PLC/DCS) and mechanical systems is desirable.
