About the Role
The Sanitation crew will be responsible for safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment and other basic cleaning tasks. The primary focus of the Sanitation Crew Member will be on ensuring health and food safety daily.
Key Activities
Sanitize warehouse equipment and machinery.
Operate floor maintenance equipment and scrubbing machines nightly in scheduled areas.
Maintain trash receptacles and perform general house cleaning.
Monitor cleaning bushes and mops for proper sanitation.
Sanitize production lines and fill out checklists.
Use cleaning chemicals and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in a safe and proper manner, in accordance with company safety procedures.
General janitorial duties as needed
Maintain accurate and complete sanitation records.
Works scheduled shift as assigned.
Immediately report all accidents and deficiencies to the lead/foreman/supervisor.
Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
Preferred Skills
Understand and have knowledge of GMP requirements.
Knowledge of food processing and food safety protocols is preferred.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in sanitation preferred.
Work in a fast-paced environment.
