About the Role

The Plant Manager will ensure efficient production, enforce quality and safety standards, and lead continuous improvement initiatives, while driving operational excellence and team engagement.

Key Activities

  • Lead and manage all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, inventory, and shipping.

  • Ensure production targets are met in terms of quality, output, and cost.

  • Implement and enforce safety, environmental, and health policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Develop, coach, and mentor plant personnel to build a high-performing team.

  • Monitor and control operational budgets to reduce waste and improve plant efficiency.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments, including Supply Chain, Sales, and Engineering, to meet customer demands.

  • Oversee raw material planning, inventory control, and vendor management.

  • Drive continuous improvement using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

  • Maintain machinery and equipment to ensure minimal downtime through regular preventive maintenance.

  • Support new product launches, process optimisation, and automation initiatives.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO, FDA, or BRC Packaging.

  • Knowledge of sustainable packaging trends and recycled plastic processes.

  • Bilingual communication skills (optional based on region).

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Must have experience in plastics manufacturing, specifically, extrusion and thermoforming.

  • Strong leadership skills.
