


About the Role
The Production Planner will accurately and efficiently create a production schedule to maximise production capabilities and to fulfil customer orders. This position also supports the different operations functions related to the company’s priorities of safety, people, quality, service, and cost Management.
Key Activities
Prepare and distribute the weekly production schedule.
Manage and communicate schedule changes as the business demands.
Create system jobs to meet production schedule requirements.
Order select raw materials.
Monitor outstanding raw material receivers.
Conduct physical inventory of raw materials and monitor min/max inventory levels, as necessary.
Participate in the semi-annual inventory process.
Monitor production jobs and ensure closure of jobs in a timely manner.
Communicate operating information and concerns to personnel in all departments and on all shifts.
Perform other tasks identified by the team to ensure that the team’s goals are achieved.
Preferred Skills
APICS certification.
Understand, speak, read, and write English.
Education and Experience
Minimum of 2 years of production planning experience.
Experience in using an ERP system.
Experience in using an MRP system.
College degree or equivalent experience.
