About the Role

The Production Manager will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating personnel activities and equipment as well as directing daily operations consistent with company policies and procedures.

Key Activities

  • Interface with sales to plan production schedules for all manufacturing areas

  • Responsible for maintaining & updating production schedule daily

  • Responsible for organizing personnel for meeting requirements of schedule

  • Process improvement - increase efficiencies in flow of material, machine performance

  • Develop and implement quality and productivity plans.

  • Input production reports to computer

  • Analyze completed jobs. Make Bill of Material changes as needed.

  • Evaluate and plan for production requirements for all new jobs

  • Monitor quality and quantity of production plant wide

  • Ensure production equipment and work space is kept clean and in good repair.

  • Supervise all production areas

  • Participate in hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining and terminating all employees under your supervision

  • Participate in planning needs of all departments

  • Support company policies and procedures for hygiene, clothing, personal items, health, glass and brittle plastics

  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with co-workers

  • Cooperates with all departments

  • Willingness to work overtime

Preferred Skills

  • A good level of proficiency with spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel) is required  

  • Ability to apply statistical calculations, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and other analytics as required. 

Education and Experience

  • Ten years related work experience in manufacturing / printing operations

  • Previous supervisory experience
