About the Role
The Solana Infrastructure Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure to support Solana-based applications and validator operations. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our blockchain nodes and related systems.
Key Activities
Design, provision, deploy, and maintain the infrastructure supporting Solana validators, RPC endpoints, and other critical services.
Build and manage Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automation tools (like Ansible, Terraform) to streamline deployments and reduce manual work.
Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Grafana, Data Dog, or Prometheus to ensure the health, performance, and stability of the network.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems, and ensure the infrastructure adheres to compliance standards.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, and contribute to architectural decisions to improve service performance and scalability.
Lead incident response efforts, conduct root cause analysis, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 availability.
Stay up-to-date with Solana protocol upgrades and ecosystem trends, collaborating with the community and the Solana Foundation to troubleshoot and evolve the protocol.
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience running and optimizing Solana validator nodes and RPC endpoints, and a deep familiarity with the Solana protocol.
Education and Experience
5+ years of experience in Technical Operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or a similar role.
Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration and advanced troubleshooting.
