About the Role
The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing daily production, ensuring quality standards, optimizing processes, driving cost efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in plastics manufacturing, and the ability to meet production targets while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Activities
Ensuring production targets are met and deadlines are followed.
Managing plant employees, safety, and the production schedule.
Overseeing 2 local plant budgets and cost management.
Implementing company policies and procedures at the plant level.
Manage and mentor plant staff, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
Prepare and manage plant budgets, monitor costs, and ensure optimal resource utilization.
Collaborate with R&D, supply chain, and engineering teams for new product launches and process enhancements.
Maintain accurate production and performance reports for senior management.
Preferred Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to manage diverse teams.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.
8–12 years of proven experience in plastic manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of plastic processing methods (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, thermoforming, etc.).
