

About the Role
This Diesel Mechanic/Technician will be capable of handling the most complex diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment.
Key Activities
Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting on engines, transmissions, electrical systems, hydraulics, and emissions systems.
Execute major repairs, overhauls, and component replacements (engine rebuilds, transmission replacements, etc.).
Lead and mentor junior and mid-level mechanics, providing guidance and support on complex repair procedures.
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all repairs meet federal, state, and company safety standards.
Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed in compliance with shop standards.
Collaborate with service writers and parts personnel to ensure efficient repair timelines.
Stay current with manufacturer updates, advanced diagnostic tools, and emerging repair technologies.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency with electronic diagnostic systems and OEM software.
Strong understanding of DOT, OSHA, and EPA compliance requirements.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certifications in diesel technology required.
5–7 years of heavy-duty diesel repair experience with proven ability to perform advanced diagnostics and major repairs.
