About the Role
The Billing & Insurance Specialist is responsible for processing claims, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring accurate billing practices. This role plays a crucial part in the organization's financial health.
Key Activities
Submit claims to insurance providers and follow up on payments.
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for incoming clients.
Resolve billing issues and insurance claim denials.
Maintain accurate financial records and client billing accounts.
Work with UR and admissions teams to ensure aligned billing practices.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, and payer guidelines.
Education and Experience
Associate’s degree or certification in medical billing/coding preferred.
2+ years experience in behavioral health billing.
