


About the Role
The Senior Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the entire operational footprint of our Quebec facilities, which includes a team of approximately 300 employees across multiple operations departments.
Key Activities
Lead and develop a high-performing, cross-functional operations team to support the company’s strategic goals.
Develop and implement operational strategies that align with business objectives, customer expectations, and growth targets.
Contribute to company-wide planning as part of the senior leadership team, advising on operational capabilities and risks.
Oversee day-to-day operations, including production (meal kit and ready-to-eat), automation systems, fulfilment, inventory management, and building maintenance.
Ensure smooth and cost-effective production flows, proper inventory control, and efficient fulfilment to meet demand and service level agreements.
Identify and lead the implementation and use technology solutions to continuously improve operations, reporting and forecasting
Lead a team of ~300 employees across multiple departments, including team leads, supervisors, and managers.
Drive a performance-based culture with clear KPIs, accountability, and ongoing training and development.
Foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
Ensure strict adherence to occupational health and safety standards and regulations (including CNESST compliance).
Promote a culture of safety awareness across all levels of the operation.
Work closely with Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, R&D, Customer Service, and HR to ensure operational alignment and performance.
Serve as a key liaison between the production floor and senior leadership, offering transparency into operations.
Preferred Skills
Experience with automation, facility operations, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&L, and capital projects.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; bilingual (French and English) preferred.
Education and Experience
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations or manufacturing in the food production or meal kit/RTE industry is highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field required. An MBA or advanced degree is considered an asset.
5+ years in a senior leadership capacity managing large teams and complex operations.
Proven track record of leading transformation and implementing scalable systems and processes.
