About the Role
The Production Supervisor will ensure safety, product quality, and productivity while promoting teamwork, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
Key Activities
Supervise and coordinate the work of machine operators and packers to meet production schedules and quality standards.
Lead and develop the 2nd shift team across production, maintenance, and quality, ensuring safety, customer satisfaction, and productivity that align with financial targets.
Work closely with maintenance and quality personnel to meet business objectives.
Utilise lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, 5-Whys, PDCA/SDCA cycles, SMED, and waste reduction to improve the value chain.
Maintain situational awareness across the production floor; effectively multitask and manage priorities in real time.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical issues; assist with maintenance when possible.
Train, coach, and motivate employees in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and quality.
Maintain housekeeping and enforce safety standards throughout the facility.
Communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation, both verbally and electronically.
Provide accurate production reporting and documentation.
Oversee shift security and facility safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills
Prefer experience in GMP/cGMP or regulated manufacturing environments.
Excellent communication, organisational, and multitasking skills.
Education and Experience
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or high-speed packaging environment.
Proven mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting experience.
