About the Role

The Packaging Engineer will design and develop primary packaging for new and existing products to support launches under limited supervision, manage assigned projects through coordinating, planning, and organising projects assigned to them, to ensure that required deadlines are met.

Key Activities

  • Provide technical expertise to Quality Associates to solve packaging-related quality issues.

  • Understand in-house product manufacturing processes.

  • Design, develop and make modifications to new products to be manufactured

  • Aggressively drive and identify gross margin improvement projects through the optimisation of primary

    and secondary package design / re-design.

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to support continuous improvement programs in the

  • manufacturing processes through the redesign of packaging components.

  • Understand basic supplier manufacturing processes, including plastic moulding.

  • Knowledge of blow moulding, extrusion and injection moulding processes.

  • Project Management: Create 2D and 3D Drawings and Renderings for Customer Presentations.

  • Collaborate with Customer Facing Team (Sales, AM) to create 3D Prototypes for Customer Review

    Distribution New Item Setup checklist review in Business Central – Review, create, and maintain item

    specifications and drawings. Ensure specifications comply with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements. Provide technical input on design for manufacturability, tolerances, and assembly.

Preferred Skills


  • Preferred background in ISO or GMP-regulated environments.

  • Preferred hands-on experience with mold qualifications, tooling validation, and mating part compatibility

Education and Experience

  • BS Degree in Packaging Engineering or related field.

  • 3-5 years of related professional experience.

  • Plastic bottle/cap experience.
