About the Role

The Plant Manager will be responsible for driving operational performance, developing cohesive high-performing teams, and achieving safety, quality, cost, delivery, and engagement goals in alignment with company objectives.

Key Activities

  • Oversee all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, inventory management, logistics, and safety.

  • Plan, organise, and manage manufacturing activities to meet production goals, quality standards, and delivery timelines.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, FSSAI, ISO, etc.) and company quality policies.

  • Implement and maintain continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, minimise waste, and optimise production costs.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop plant staff to achieve individual and organisational performance goals.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, cost, and quality.

  • Coordinate with procurement, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth workflow and resource availability.

  • Ensure proper maintenance of plant equipment and facilities to prevent downtime.

  • Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.

  • Prepare and manage the plant’s budget, forecasts, and operational reports.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in plant operations or production management within the food manufacturing industry.

  • Strong knowledge of food safety and quality management systems.

Education and Experience

  • Experience implementing lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities effectively.
