


About the Role
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet the company’s quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. This role involves developing and implementing quality control systems, analysing quality performance, identifying areas for improvement, and working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Activities
Supports quality initiatives within the manufacturing facility.
Ensures quality and industry standards are maintained.
Participates in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System.
Focuses on customer satisfaction and product quality.
Conduct daily audits of departmental processes and paperwork per QA procedures.
Manage supplier activities, including:
Handling rejections
SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Requests)
On-site audits as needed.
Participate in machine validation and qualification activities.
Create and improve process documentation to support quality initiatives.
Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
Perform real-time inspection of products, processes, and systems.
Assist with daily quality inspections.
Prepare written reports and analyses as needed.
Initiate and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
Monitor and report on new industry, quality, OSHA, IATA, or related standards.
Follow all GSC safety rules and regulations.
Adhere to the GSC handbook and written procedures.
Preferred Skills
Ability to interpret and implement customer specifications.
Excellent visual acuity and colour discrimination.
Education and Experience
BS/BA in engineering, science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proficient in computer applications (spreadsheets, word processing).
Experience with SPC tools/software is helpful.
Familiarity with quality management concepts (ASQC certification preferred or willingness to pursue).
