


About the Role
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring components and manufacturing processes consistently meet a pre-determined level of quality. This position will help support manufacturing process efficiency by being actively involved in device and process monitoring, visualisation, and improvements, and support the larger goal of scrap reduction.
Key Activities
Production Quality Support
Lead the QA support to Manufacturing for production parts and devices.
Assist in the revision of component drawings and finished goods drawings.
Lead the creation and revision of inspection plans and procedures.
Support the NCR process through the collection and analysis of related data.
Investigate, quantify and implement scrap reduction projects as needed. Quality Issues Identification and Resolution
Provide engineering and data analysis support to the QA department.
Provide support to the Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) process
Analyse facts and circumstances with regard to work problems and determine the action required.
Develop, obtain, maintain and/or adapt inspection equipment to meet Quality Assurance standards.
Responsible for customer complaint investigations and the processing of returned goods through QA.
Perform inspection and tests on parts, subassemblies and finished devices.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, product specifications and change controls.
Component Approval
Support supplier PPAP activities for production parts
Provide information and data to support the supplier management process.
Communication
Ensure clear and concise communications with both internal and external customers/suppliers
Administration
Comply with the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Company policies, procedures and ISO standard
Performs other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced knowledge in statistical methodologies and data analysis
Advanced knowledge in interpreting drawings with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Education and Experience
BS degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or related field or equivalent work experience.
Accreditation in the quality discipline and/or quality engineering is an asset.
5 years of experience in a quality assurance function .
Previous experience in high volume, complex plastic, and silicone injection molded parts is desirable
