About the Role

The Transloading Facility Manager will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and compliant handling of hazardous materials while ensuring operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong expertise in chemistry and hazardous materials management, as the facility undergoes annual audits by LSPI.

Key Activities

  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure seamless coordination of shipments.

  • Oversee, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, order processing, assembly, storage, and dispatch of goods.

  • Ensure the safe and compliant transloading of hazardous materials in accordance with federal, state, and company regulations.

  • Manage facility resources, including space utilisation and mechanical handling equipment, to optimise efficiency and ensure safety.

  • Monitor and maintain quality standards, budgetary targets, and environmental objectives.

  • Prepare for and manage annual audits by LSPI, ensuring compliance with all standards and requirements.

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, training programs, and best practices for the safe handling of hazardous materials.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Proven ability to manage audits and regulatory compliance (experience with LSPI audits preferred).

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and liaise with multiple stakeholders.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Transloading Facility Management or related logistics operations, with a strong track record of handling hazardous materials.

  • Solid knowledge of chemistry, particularly in relation to hazardous substances.
