


About the Role
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth within the seafood market. This role focuses on expanding customer relationships, managing key accounts, and identifying new business opportunities across retail, foodservice, wholesale, and distribution channels. The Sales Manager collaborates closely with procurement, operations, and logistics teams to ensure product quality, availability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Activities
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business goals and market growth in the seafood sector.
Manage and grow existing customer accounts while consistently identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
Build strong relationships with distributors, seafood processors, retailers, foodservice operators, and hospitality clients.
Stay informed about market trends, pricing, competitor activities, and industry regulations to optimise product positioning.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and promotional agreements to drive profitable growth.
Work closely with production, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure timely order fulfilment and product consistency.
Monitor sales performance, analyse data, and prepare regular reports for management.
Lead, train, and motivate sales team members to achieve individual and team targets (if overseeing a team).
Represent the company at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and client visits.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office Suite.
Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or related field (preferred).
5+ years of sales experience in the seafood or food industry; strong B2B sales track record.
Strong understanding of seafood products, supply chain, pricing, and seasonal availability.
