


About the Role
The Production Manager will be responsible for growing food production to lead and execute integrated strategies, processes, and systems designed to increase workplace productivity and engagement.
Key Activities
Lead day-to-day packaging operations across multiple high-speed lines running 24/7, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule attainment.
Manage and develop a team of 30–45 associates (via supervisors/leads), driving accountability through KPIs (OEE, downtime, waste, labour efficiency, quality holds, on-time completion).
Champion a strong safety culture: behaviours, audits, incident prevention, and compliance in a fast-paced plant environment.
Ensure adherence to FSMA and FDA requirements; support and maintain third-party audit readiness (BRC preferred).
Partner with Maintenance to reduce downtime: prioritise work orders, support PM execution, and improve line reliability.
Partner with Quality and Sanitation to ensure GMPs, allergen/foreign material controls, documentation, and product integrity standards are consistently met.
Drive continuous improvement: waste reduction, changeover improvement, line balancing, SOP/standard work, training effectiveness, and daily management routines.
Use systems to track performance and communicate results; SAP exposure preferred.
Coach supervisors/leads and build bench strength through structured feedback, training, and engagement practices.
Analyse performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve output and efficiency.
Preferred Skills
BRC experience strongly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or related).
5–7 years progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing operations and/or a related high-volume packaging environment.
Working knowledge of FSMA and FDA requirements (required)
