


About the Role
The Flexographic Press Operator is responsible for producing printed orders as efficiently as possible, maximising time while minimising waste, and setting up the press, including installing paper, cylinders, perf wheels/blades, and ink to print high-quality product that meets production and customer specifications.
Key Activities
Sets up and prints label jobs on the printing press with minimal waste in a specific priority order determined by the Press Supervisor.
Completes daily score sheets by recording the amount and type of work performed.
Cleans the printing press at the end of each shift.
Maintains press and other equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Properly uses safety gear, including ear protection, glasses, back-support belt and safety shoes as required or recommended.
Performs single-function tasks that tend to be of moderate size and scope.
Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent. May include specialised classes beyond high school.
Has a proficient understanding of principles in one or more functions. Typically possesses 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to read, interpret and create simple correspondence and memos.
