About the Role
The FSQA Specialist will be responsible for leading and maintaining our food safety and quality programs in compliance with SQF standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The QA & SQF Practitioner will serve as the primary point of contact for all food safety initiatives, audits, and certifications, ensuring product integrity and supporting operational excellence.
Key Activities
Manage and maintain the SQF Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
Serve as the designated SQF Practitioner, ensuring compliance with SQF Code requirements.
Lead preparation, coordination, and follow-up for internal and external audits (regulatory, customer, and third-party).
Conduct routine facility inspections, GMP audits, and verification of sanitation and allergen controls.
Develop, update, and implement food safety policies, SOPs, and training programs.
Investigate and document customer complaints, deviations, and corrective actions.
Partner with Production, R&D, and Procurement to ensure quality and food safety throughout the supply chain.
Oversee environmental monitoring, Sanitation, HACCP verification, and product testing programs.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to food safety and quality.
Preferred Skills
Strong knowledge of FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, and GFSI standards.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in QA or food safety, preferably in food manufacturing.
Certified SQF Practitioner (or ability to become certified within 6 months).
