About the Role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production operations. This role supports preventative maintenance programs and responds to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
Key Activities
Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and replace or repair defective components.
Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and ensure equipment reliability.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders according to company procedures.
Assist with machine installations, upgrades, and plant projects.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls during shifts as required.
Ensure compliance with safety policies, GMPs, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain proper inventory of spare parts and tools.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Preferred Skills
Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication.
Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required; Technical certification or vocational training preferred.
2–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
